ArtUP Hawthorne, part of the ArtUp Project is a collaboration of local artists, educators, and long-standing residents, who are passionate about uplifting their community, empowering local youth and supporting local businesses through the power of art. The ultimate goal is to provide low-cost to no-cost access to the arts by creating safe spaces for residents and neighbors of all ages and backgrounds to develop and grow local cultural policy, arts education and further arts-related movements towards a sustainable and healthy future.

This is a place para todos. This movement is not done in one place with one group of folks. It asks for all of us to get together and share space in music. dance. drawing. and healing.

The Mission

Short-Term Goals:

To bring a public art space to Hawthorne, CA

Build momentum & network through hosting art events and creative meet-ups available to the public throughout the city.

Long-Term Goal:

To create an Art Coalition and Art District in Hawthorne, CA and inspire others to do the same in their city, through grassroots efforts, events, and artivist action.

ArtUP Hawthorne provides the public with a safe space with access to the arts.

Cultivating the ecosystem of local artists, wellness practitioners and policy makers.

Supporting our community in its local commerce and introduce new artistic resources, spaces, entrepreneurial connections from the ground up and built by the power of its people. momentum by hosting art events in various locations throughout the city.

To bring art to the artless, a voice for the voiceless.
